Wedding Invitations by Wink

Our requirements for the invitations are simple:  there must be no patterns, no caricatures and no intricate background.    It should match our vision of a solemn, clean and elegant wedding.    Also, we don't want to spend much on them that's why we initially wanted Unifair in Binondo to do the invitations.

Unfortunately, we went there on a Sunday and the shop is closed.   We discussed about the pros and cons of getting a much cheaper invitation printer but traveling a lot to and from Binondo for it.  In the end, we decided to check out the bridal fairs and see if we can find something we'll like.

In one of the fairs we attended (in World Trade Center, I think),  we checked out Wink, Print Divas and Printed Matters.

While browsing through Wink's album samples, I came across this and just said to AJ that this is it:

Wink's "Gedi" Invitation

Unfortunately, Print Divas doesn't have "simple" invitations in their samples.   We didn't find anything we like over at Printed Matters.

After another round of walking and scouting for other suppliers, we came back to Wink and booked them already.   Because there's a bridal fair, we got discounts and free sealers.

Overall cost of the invitations (main invite + reception card + envelope + sealer) is P3,712.00 or P46.40 (ordinarily their basic set costs around P55).    The entourage card I did myself because I want to make sure that the names there are all correct and because I want to have something DIY  thrown in the invitation.

Wink did not disappoint.  I got the 1st study/draft some 2 weeks after I submitted the details (through email).   All transactions were through email which were very convenient.  There were very minor corrections and we were ready to approve it with the 3rd draft but I told AJ that we should see the mock print out first before signing off the confirmation slip.

It's a good thing that we did because the green shade is a bit pale compared with the shade I want.  Ms. Jo (our AE) was kind enough to accommodate our last minute color changes at no extra cost (love her!).   She sent to me the final draft in a week's time and there we gave our thumbs-up for the production to start.

We were able get the invitations in less than 2 weeks since we approved the draft.  Here's how our invitation looked:

We opted not to use our monogram as the invitation sealer because I want these cursive calligraphy letters intact.

I wasn't able to take picture of the Entourage Card, sorry!

Now here comes the fun part.  I decided to do calligraphy in writing the guests' names.  Here's a sample of what I did:

We will start distributing the invitations in April, just enough lead time for our guests to plan their activities in May, and for us to be able to do some RSVP follow-through.

The finished wedding items are slowly turning our vision into a reality.   Can't wait to  see all our hard work pay off!
